I thought sesame oil was one of those things that couldn't be brought to a high temperature. Do you beg to differ? Or did you just splash it around the last second?
I only put the burner to about 5, so I'm wondering if maybe that helped the oil not to reach a crazy smoke-point...but then I did splash some in in the last little while!
